Author worth studying : Kate DiCamillo

I was attracted to find out more about this author due to her popular book: “The Tales of Despereaux”. I also had heard about her popular tales about Winn-Dixie. I was drawn to this author due to the movies made after her two popular books. I had never read one of her writings or experienced one of her tales ,until I viewed the movies. I also decided to choose her because of the variety of grade levels her writing can reach. She does not only write children books but adult books as well. I want to teach mainly elementary school and the books she has written can be used in such range. Her work can be used from k- 6th grade. This author study will allow for further research on Kate Di Camillo and her writing.
